Official Rules
These rules are final and binding. Any and all say regarding decisions in this contest rest solely in the hands of Staff of the Magi Productions Inc.
"What is this Game?" is the first Game Production by Staff of the Magi Productions inc. and is a tie-in to their first Feature Film entitled "What is this Movie?". Based on an ARG (Alternate Reality Game) principle, "what is this Game?" is also a live Game-show in Progress, and a Cameo Role in the "What is this Movie?" Film is at stake.
Starting ing December, after Registration, players will be able to log in to their specific Game Profile. Here players will be able to view their progress once the game starts. What is this Game? will begin on January 1, at midnight. The first clue will be revealed to all players. At this time all registered players will compete to solve puzzles, and overcome challanges. Each player will start with a clue that needs to be deciphered. When properly solved, the clue will lead to another online location. Players will also be presented with various real world challenges. They will be required to do certain actions and submit proof that they have completed these challanges.
After a prescribedamount of clues and challanges, the players will compete in "The Guardian" or "Boss" of that stage.
Players will be required to visit many websites pertaining to the game in order to secure the first five contracts which signify the end of a stage and is the player's pass to the next stage.
Once the players make it to the 6th and final stage of the Game, the way the game is played will change. The Rules will ONLY be disclosed when any ONE player has reached the final stage of the Game. The Rules will be posted here, so check back often to be sure.
The Top 5 players will be listed on the Main Game Site at all times once the Game has launched. We will be constantly tracking players progress and will know who is in the lead at any one time. Players will be required to keep "Reciepts" which will allow us to know where they are in the Game. Soem puzzles and clues and other portions of the game are specifically made for each individual player making it impossivle for players to give away answers to one another just to make it through a stage.
Any player caught trying to "cheat" will be disqualified immediatly without return compensation for anything purchased from our company or sites. This includes decompiling any of our Copyrighted Flash Sites to better ascertain information about a clue. This is not only considered cheating but is illegal and will not be tolerated. This game is only open to residents of the United States, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom who are at least 18 years of age or older as of January 1,2008 except where prohibited by law.
Prize information can be gained by the visiting out disclaimer. The Official Rules will be updated only when a player has reached the 6th and final Stage.

"What is this Game?" hereto referred to as "Contest", is open to all residents of the United States, Canada, Ausralia, the United Kingdom, who are at least 18 years old of age or older as of January 1, 2008, unless specifically prohibited by law. Subject to all applicable National, federal, state and local laws and regulation. Void where prohibited by law.
This Contest consists of six (6) Stages of Play where players will need to solve a series of prescribed clues which will take players across the internet. Along the way they will be required at various times to interact with other players and with 'characters' created for the game, as well as complete various real world challanges as they are required. As the game plays out, they will be participating in an interactive story which will culminate with the award of one (1) contract at the conclusion of the contest to the first player to find it.
Prize Information
The one winner of the 'contract' will recieve round trip airfare from the nearest airport of his or her home town to one of the New York metropolitan Airports that Staff of the Magi Productions sees fit based on availability to film a cameo for "What is this Movie?". The winner will have dinner with the creators of the project and will be put up in a hotel for the duration of filming. In ANY EVENT NO CASH PRIZE will be issued and all other associated costs will be incurred by the Contest Winner including but not limited to personal expenses, extended stay beyounf what is required by Staff of the Magi Productions Inc., and/or lost wages due to loss of work. If the contest winner decides not to take the prize, Staff of the Magi Productions Inc. reserves the right to do what it sees fit would be in the best interest of the film. Staff of the Magi Productions Inc. will do all booking necessary for these travel and lodging expenses and communicate with the contest winner by phone, and e-mail. The Contest winner will also recieve an invitation to any premiere that may occur after filming and post-production of "What is this Movie?". all travel costs incurred would be at the contest winner's expense. If contest winner is found to not be at least 18 years of age, he/she will be disqualified and prize awarded to yhe next player to find it. The Prize is GUARENTEED to be given away.
Contest Winner grants Staff of the Magi Productions Inc. permission to use his/her likeness in any manner it sees fit to promote their film, game, future contests, and may use it at will. Contest winner also agrees to keep all information gathered or otherwise ascertained by the making of the film a secret and will be required to sign and uphold a non-disclosure agreement to recieve prize in addition to show proof via government issued I.D. that he/she is 18 years of age or older as of January 1, 2008.
You agree by viewing and using this website and any other website associated with "What is this Game?" and/or "What is this Movie?" not to reproduce, copy, distribute, display publicity in ANY MANNER whether in whole or in part, any of the materials within without express writter permission from Staff of the Magi Productions Inc. this includes the Decompiliation of any and all .swf FLASH FILES to ascertain information about the contest. This is considered CHEATING and anyone caught doing so will be disqualified from the contest immediatly without any incurred refund compensation from Staff of the Magi Inc.
